Update Week 8 

Measurements :

Neck : 17.075 (+0.5075)
Bicep : 16.5 (same)
Waist : 33.5 (-3.5 inches)
Chest : 43 (-1.5 inches)

Definitely cannot call myself fat anymore.  A long way to go to achieve my target of being the fittest, strongest and most aesthetic I've been in my entire adult life.  But, I think I am on the right path now.

It's all about the diet, so thanks to those who advised to up the calories.  I've taken the advice one step further, as you'll see in the post above, and have added a ton of egg whites + 2 normal eggs, to get the extra protein.  

I think you can really see the difference now :

Today I got the 1 and only piece of training equipment I intend to use : a neck harness.

Did my first neck workout...The flexion was no problem but HOLY FUCK the curls were hard...It's going to take about 7-8 sessions to get exactly the right form and ensure I am training only the neck.

However I am delighted.  This will take it to the next level and I am pretty sure I will achieve my goal.

Other than that things are progressing according to plan.  Will be starting more fitness classes next week after the work on updating the forum and releasing the new subscription product is done.

Note to self : drastically cutting down on drinking milk.  As delicious as it is, it goes straight to the lower belly at my age.

Update Week 9 

If I was to sum up progress over last 3 weeks or so , I would say disappointed.  However I have (re) learned some useful lessons and areas for improvement that I will apply going forward.

1: Cutting out alcohol.  I've got into the habit of drinking wine too frequently.  It has to stop, so cutting that out going forward.
2: Ditto milk.  Milk is natures fattener and I've come to realise at my age I cannot get away with it any more.  

Overall I've realised that although I've been going to the gym for a long time, the most recent break (nearly 2 years!) has meant I am drastically out of the habit.  I've also realised I've never really taken it seriously before and now I have to, if I want the health, energy, strength and physique that I know I can get.

It's time to get more serious.

So, clean up the diet, and I'm also going to add long walks (8 miles or so) as many times per week as possible to burn off more calories.  Combining those two should start shifting the remaining fat.  

I've also realised the importance of  the mind / muscle connection.  I've been stuck at the same weight for neck curls for 3 weeks now.  In the last week or so I realised that I'm not doing the exercise with strict form and targetting the exact muscle that I want to.  So, after research I'm now focussing on the mind / muscle connection with each and every exercise.  In particular:

Taking my shoes off and feeling the ground eg on deadlifts
For neck curls I wrap my feet around the bench to prevent activating abs 
Do warm ups beforehand and "feel" the neck being stretched
Focus 100% on each and every rep when curling.
Ensure tongue is pressed firmly on roof of mouth

It's revelatory.  Although I am not doing more reps at the same weight, it's exponentially more difficult to do the exercise now than it was and I can feel the muscle being worked.  So, continue to focus on this for the next month and see if I can add another 2.5kg for the same reps in this time.  Very hopeful about this.

With the neck harness it's much easier to ensure strict form, and I'll be adding more weight next week.  

Other lifts are going up and overall getting stronger.

Onwards and upwards.

Why are you doing the tongue on roof? Is that mewing or there is another reason for it?
